50MW Above Hybrid Renewable Energy Plant Investment

The Sri Lankan government is setting a renewable energy development target in 2019 to meet 70% of the country‘s electricity needs through renewable energy by 2030. The country is currently at its highest level of hydropower development. In order to achieve these policy goals, an additional 4,800 MW of installed solar power capacity should be added to the existing 4,580 MW and an additional 3,500 MW of systems should be added to the current 248 MW of wind power capacity by 2030. In the current situation, it is most likely that significant private investment will be introduced in this sector and that, in addition to investment in power stations, a national transmission system should be developed to connect the large new energy generating stations.

We have now been commissioned by interested domestic and international capital to carry out preliminary due diligence, government policy advice and the development of a pre-feasibility study for the project.
